About

Our website is a private, non-profit project dedicated to IT security and related research. Although it was initially only set up in 2004 to publish some presentations, it has largely grown ever since and is nowadays run by:

/// Krisztian Piller (European Central Bank): Krisztian works as an IT security expert at European Central Bank (ECB) in Frankfurt, Germany and is responsible for security-conscious planning, development and implementation of IT related projects at the ECB. He is primarily interested in penetration testing, network security and honeypots. Prior to joining the ECB he used to work with Ernst & Young's Risk Advisory Group in Frankfurt/Germany for several years.

/// Carsten Koehler (Ernst & Young Germany): Carsten is a CISSP working as a senior advisor for Ernst & Young Germany. In their Risk Advisory Group he is mainly focussing on penetration testing and programming.

/// Michael Domberg (German army): Michael is an officer of the German army and is responsible for a large number of IT systems run by the army. He likes hacking and breaking stuff.

/// Sebastian Wolfgarten (European Central Bank): Like Krisztian, Sebastian works for the European Central Bank as security expert. He holds a M.Sc. in "Security and Forensic Computing" which he completed at Dublin's City University (DCU) in 2006. Before starting with the ECB, Sebastian was with T-Mobile's network security group. Prior to studying at DCU he was working with Ernst & Young's German Risk Advisory Services (RAS) group for more than three years where he focussed on network security, pen-testing and IT forensics. Sometimes he works as a reviewer and author for Addison & Wesley Germany, O'Reilly USA and various German IT magazines.

As you can see, we are four German guys (okay, three Germans and a Hungarian *g*) working full-time in the area of IT security (for different companies though). Whenever we thought something is worth publishing online, it was put on devtarget. Thus during the last couple of years a lot of material has been added to the site including various articles, papers, presentations and tools. More stuff will be added at random, so stay tuned.

We hope that you will find this stuff as useful as we do and would like to ask you to contact us if you have any further question or if you would like to join us.

Happy hacking! :-) Carsten, Krisztian, Michael & Sebastian
